Betting on Draw Strategy is quite self explanatory – I don’t think I should explain what a DRAW result means in sports. If you don’t know which is a DRAW in 3-way 1X2 betting line, I really don’t think betting is for you. So stay away for bets and bookies, they are not for you.
Our Experience : In the last 12 years of betting, we of course applied successfully this betting strategy, and now it is the time to share our experience with you.

How Betting on a Draw result can be a strategy ?
Because Draws occur more frequently in some sports, than you believe. And when I say “sports” , I admit, I am talking about football. Unlike in basketball, where games rarely ends in a tie, in soccer draws occur in about 25-30 % of the games. Football is well known for its unpredictable outcomes, and while a normal punter just bet on his favourite to win, a bettor that thinks ahead and have some knowledge about statistics and value of a bet, will look also on the DRAW value.
For example, for a Liverpool fan , what do you think his bets were in their games against Aston Villa and Everton , this month ? They bet for Liverpool , as they were favourites, right ? Liverpool odds against Aston Villa was 1.85 , and against Everton was 1.4 , so you need to be crazy to bet against Liverpool, right ?
Well, I need to say that odds on DRAW results were 4.2 in the game with Aston Villa, and 4.6 in the game with Everton ?
Betting on Draw – Key Factors To Consider :
1. Team Style
Some teams focus on defense, aiming to avoid losses rather than pushing for wins. Clubs like Atlético Madrid or older versions of José Mourinho-led teams have been known to settle for draws. Identifying such teams can help you spot potential stalemates.
2. Match Context
The stakes of a match can significantly influence the likelihood of a draw. In tournaments, group-stage games often end in draws when teams only need a point to advance. Similarly, end-of-season games can produce ties as teams play cautiously to secure vital points.
For above example with Liverpool, they were involved also in FA CUP and in Champions League, which is more important to them. Having 8 points ahead in Premier League, they preferred not to push, to protect their main players, and be happy with a draw result.
3. Leagues Trends
Examples on Leagues which have the most games ending in a draw :
France League 2
Over 30% full time draw games rate. Valenciennes and Laval have record high of matches that ended with even scores each reaching 15 draws out of 38 games.
Scotland Championship
32 % full time draw games for the last season. Every team in the championship has between 10 and 14 games that ended draw out of 30 matches for the season.
Italy Serie B
The level and the quality of football is not very high and teams are often happy with even games. Over 35% of the matches in the last season have finished draw. Perugia is the team with the highest even results overall rate taking 20 draws in 42 games.
Iran Pro League
The strong defense and the weak scoring are typical for the Iranian teams. Statistics show a total of 34% draw results for the whole season which turns it into a league that needs to be noticed. Gostaresh Tabriz is the team with most draw games with a rate of 17 out of 30 for the season.
There are many other secondary leagues, or main Leagues, from different countries like Egypt, Iran, Romania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, even Italy or France, or 2nd division of Brazil . But it’s up to you to discover them. In this strategy, research is essential.

How To Choose Matches in Betting on Draw Strategy ?
Here are several tips on what to look for:
1. Closely Matched Teams
When two evenly matched teams face off, a tie becomes a likely result. Look at their head-to-head history, league positions, and recent form. If neither side has a clear advantage, a draw bet could be worthwhile.
2. Low-Scoring Teams
Teams with low scoring records are more likely to produce draws. Matches where defenses dominate and goals are rare often end in ties. Analyze statistics such as average goals scored and conceded per game.
3. Rivalries and Derbies
Rivalry games bring heightened emotions but often result in cautious play. Teams might prioritize avoiding defeat over securing victory. Classic derbies, like Liverpool vs. Manchester United, have seen many draws due to such dynamics.
4. Weather and Pitch Conditions
Poor weather or a subpar pitch can slow down gameplay, reducing the likelihood of a clear winner. Rain, snow, or uneven surfaces can disrupt attacking momentum and favor a tie.
Tips on what to avoid when you are Backing the Draw
1. Ignoring Team News
Injuries, suspensions, or tactical changes can alter a team’s approach. Always check the latest updates before placing a bet.
2. Betting Blindly
Don’t bet on draws without research. Understanding team form, league trends, and match context is essential.
3. Overestimating Odds
High odds might seem appealing, but they often indicate unlikely outcomes. Stick to odds that reflect a realistic chance of a draw.
4. Betting on Every Game
Not all games are suitable for draw bets. Focus on matches where conditions favor a draw.

How To Use Bots (Filters) in Betting On Draw Strategy ?
Even if you did your research for this strategy, and discovered what are the best leagues for placing DRAW bets, maybe you will make this easiers. Because you cannot follow all these games every day, and you dont know each date when those games are played.
For this moments, smart people invented scanners. In fact they are websites where you can create filters with your own selections of games, outcomes, alarms, etc, etc. They are available , normally for a monthly subscription, but they are asking decent amounts on monthly payments (between 20 – 50 euros per month) . But they are coming in handy when they announce you : “Hey, lazy , a game that entered your filter is about to start in 6 hours, place your bet on the DRAW, now”
The above screenshot is created with such a filter (I call them a bot) . Let me explain it to you :
In last month, the filter had “catch” for me 522 games, where I bet 10 euros for each Draw. Average winning odd was 2.9 , and 188 games ended in a DRAW , while 334 games had a winner. My total profit was 23 units , and if I bet 10 euro (1 unit) .. this means my total profit was 230 euros.
It’s not so much, you may say , but let me explain you how my logic is . 522 games (bets) in a month, this means 17 bets per day. If I take 1 minute for placing each bet, this means 17 minutes per day, just placing those bets, because I didn’t lost any time for research, I just placed the bets like my filter recommended.
One of those websites that offer access to such filters is Oddalerts . They ask for about 20 euros per month access to a lot if statistics, and value bets scanners, and filters, and much, much more. You have also the possibility to see those statistics and much more with a FREE account, but you cannot create / import filters and having alarms on games with a free account.
In members area of our website (which is FREE for now) you can also find FOR FREE the exact filter that I use, the rules inside the “bot” that I’ve created in order for the BOT to select the best games for me.
Make Even More Money With Betting on Draws Strategy.
And here it comes our experience into play.
In a previous article I wrote about Bonus Hunting Strategy. Between 2020 and 2022 I think I took bonuses from hundreds of bookmakers, worldwide, combining these 2 strategies : Betting On Draws Strategy with Bonus Hunting.
Placing bets on draws is maybe the easiest way to take the cash bonuses and free bets from bookies, because the Draw odd, being usually around 3 , it help you cover all the odd requirements of the bonus wagering. And as I wrote in that article about bonus hunting, what can be more nice than increasing your starting bankroll with cash money from sportsbooks ? So this was my way for betting on draws : combining with bonuses from different bookies.
Other bettors prefer several other methods , which personally I didn’t tested, so I cannot give an opinion based on results, only on my own preferences.
1. Backing Draws in a System Bet
System bets are combined bets (accumulators) – where you don’t have to win all selections to net a profit. One, two, three, or more selections may lose, and you can still get a payout higher than your stake.
You can combine draw bets with other markets or simply create an all-draw system bet, such as 2 out of 4, 2 out of 5, 3 out of 6, 3 out of 5, or another combination. If, for instance, you have a 2 out of 5 system with 5 bets backing the draw, you win if 2 or more selections end in a draw.
2. Combining Betting The Draw with Aggressive Betting Systems
Some bettors use systems like the Martingale strategy for betting on draws. This involves doubling your stake after each loss until you win. While risky, it can be profitable if applied carefully and with a sufficient bankroll. Also, some ore using Fibonacci system, or other betting systems, which personally I don’t agree to, only for professional bettors with a more-than-decent bankroll. I would not recommend !

Pros and Cons of Value Betting Strategy
Let’s start with the Pros:
1) Not so time consuming. At first , you need to discover the best leagues and championships that have a high percentage of games ending with a draw. But then, especially if you use FILTERS (bots) from different websites, your “work” is in fact 10-30 minutes per day.
2) Personally we combine this betting on draws strategy with bonuses hunting , so we win in from two different strategies.
3) Can have high profits, if best leagues and best games are chosen.
4) No complex strategies are necessary to predict high-probability draws.
Now, let’s see the Cons :
1) Betting on draw can have ups and downs, such in Value Betting. Because you place bets on higher odds, losing streaks can be harder to digest. (That’s why I recommend AGAIN combining this strategy with Bonus hunting)
2) Requires a lot of discipline and constancy. Keep record of your bets.
3) Only some sports support 3-way bets. Personally I used this betting on draws strategy only on football, but it can be used on hockey or other sports, for example.
